“First Contact” explores the concept of the implied narrative of human evolution and society based on familiar sounds, field recordings and cinematic musical themes juxtaposed with nonmusical sound, noise and auditory glitch experiments. The audio score is then fed into generative analog video synthesizers that are used as visual interpreters and are then manipulated and recorded as a live performance. The final result is a media artwork that pairs sound and light. Exhibited at ASU Art Museum 2021.
“Interstellar Pulse” Is a calm relaxing pulse to help you travel through the universe uninhibited by daily or social restraints.
Created using LZX and Brown Shoes Only video synth modules. Video was captured using a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle. Movement and color changes are controlled my sound and music played live during the capture process. The pieces are to be projected in an immersive environment using a projector and sound system.
